Washburn B20 Stage bass made between the early and mid eighties in Japan.

These basses have been produced between 1980 and 1985, it is hard to date  as there is no serial on most of them. This one has black pickup covers instead of the more common cream colour.  Perhaps it is an early one. Firebird style cutaway bound ash body with flame maple top. V profile 3 piece bound Maple thru neck with an 22 fret ebony fingerboard, circular brass inlays and a brass nut. Unique ''hockey stick'' style headstock. Two single coil pickups, one J style and one P style. Two volume and two tone controls on a three-way pickup selector switch. The bridge/tailpiece is a Washburn Sure Track with brass saddles. 34” scale length, the nut width is 43mm approx. The bass weighs 9.15Lb or 4.15Kg. In fantastic condition throughout beside a few very light light marks and a couple of very very small dings. (See images). The strap button was moved at some point in time, the extra hole is currently covered with a bit of black tape, the rest is factory and untouched. Comes with the original Tweed hardshell case.
