2016 Gibson Custom Mark Knopfler 1958 Les Paul Standard. In 2016 Gibson released this Mark Knopfler 58 Les Paul standard, they only produced 150 VOS guitars which pretty much all sold on pre-order leaving most fans wanting one.

In barely played condition, this is one of the nicest Les Pauls we have had come in in sometime. Built using true historic specs this is a fantastic replica and a step up from the previous CC series for sure. 
Featuring a one piece light weight Mahogany body, a double carved figured Maple top following Marks 58 dish, a double carved Mahogany neck profile

One piece lightweight non chambered mahogany body
Two Piece figured maple top with historic top carve. 
Finished in “Faded Knopfler Burst” Nitrocellulose lacquer with a cherry back, neck and sides. One piece mahogany neck with historic hide glue and tubeless truss rod construction. Double carved to Mark’s original 58 this is more like a real 58 profile and not like the larger, common and not so correct 58 neck profile found on basic reissues. This neck measures 23.79mm a the first fret and 25.62mm at the 12th fret. 
The nylon nut measures 43.1mm approx, 
One piece Indian rosewood fingerboard with hand rolled binding and cellulose trapezoid inlays. Loaded with two unpotted Custombucker PAF Alnico 3 pickups. 
Usual 2x volume, 2x tone controls on a 3 way toggle switch. 
Lightweight aluminium stop bar, ABR1 bridge and Gotoh single ring deluxe tuners.
This guitar weighs 8.58Lb or 3.89Kg
 
Excellent feel and playability, very resonant acoustically. 
Plugged in is just pure magic, very warm sounding yet with lots of clarity, just the right amount of loud yet still creamy and chimney. 
This is a Les Paul that will put to rest most of the reissues as we have previously mentioned it is a step up from the rest. 
 
Comes with the original Lifton case reissue, COA and case candy.
