2000 Gibson Flying Vee Ebony finish. Mahogany body, slim taper mahogany neck with a 12” radius dark rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays. Factory pickups, one is Gibson marked the other is not, perhaps it had a sticker that is no longer there. These are most definitely a 496 and a 498. The wiring looks untouched, the pots on this oner are CTS for volume and an EP fro the tone and not the Gibson marked ones which are found on some models of the period also. 3 way toggle switch with Individual Volume control for the bridge, neck position and a master tone control. The machine heads have been changed at some point in time with a set of Schaller type. New bridge and tailpiece were also recently fitted. The guitar just had a full set up including fret dress and it does play beautifully.
In good condition overall, some scratches, wear and dings as expected from guitar that has been played plenty over the years. (Please refer to the images) No breaks or any structural damage or repairs. The pickguard has aa small corner missing and a small crack from one of the screws being over tightened, it is solid and there is no issues otherwise. The nut width is 42.5mm or 1.69". The guitar weighs 8.25Lb or 3.74Kg. Great player and very good sounding vee. Comes with the original brown tolex hardshell case.
