1981 GIBSON RD ARTIST VICTORY HEADSTOCK - TOBACCO SUNBURST. In good original condition, this Tobacco Sunburst top of the line RD Artist with a Victory headstock features active circuitry with switchable bright mode, treble and bass boost, compression and expansion. 
Offset solid 3 piece contoured Maple body with a sunburst nitrocellulose finish.
Slim taper Three-piece Maple set neck with two extra wings at the headstock, creating a five-piece construction.
Unbound Victory headstock with Gibson/schaller tuners and Gold Gibson silkscreen logo. Bound 12” radius rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays and 22 frets. 
The frets are in great condition and show minimal wear. 
The nut width is 42.5mm approx. 
Nickel hardware, Tune O Matic style bridge and stop bar. 
2 x Patent number pickups with a Chrome cover and black surrounds. 
Multi-ply pickguard and black speed knobs. 
2 x 3 way toggle switches (the white has the tip changed)
2 x volume and 2 x tone controls on a 3 way toggle-switch
Original Diamond strap buttons. The electronics consist of a 9v battery powering a circuit board the length of the body, accessible from the back cover. This guitar weighs 8.82Lb or 4Kg. Excellent player and very cool. Comes with a hardshell case.
