Here is a nice example of a true classic. The Ivory Les Paul custom is synonymous with many classic artists since its introduction. Lindsay Buckingham, Steve Jones and Randy Rhodes to name a few. The guitar is a good example from the Norlin era. Unfortunately the finish shows signs of chipping on the back which is all too commonplace from this era. The front has signs of weather checking and there is some some light playing on the front. There are a few small indentations on the back of the neck around 3rd and 12th fret. (See photos) The pickups are T-tops (pat no) the neck pick up is dated 26th March 1980. The bridge pick up has no stamp and the pick up covers have been removed. The pots are stock and there is a date of 39th week of 1979 on the volumes and the tone pots a re 6th week of 1981. The guitar still has the original frets and has a huge amount of bottom end! The guitar weighs in at 10.66 Lb or 4.83 Kg. Nut width 42 mm. It does come with a correct Gibson Protector 2 large chainsaw case.
