1981 Gibson ES335 DOT in Natural finish. Here we have a stunning example of an early 80s es335 in great condition throughout. Double bound Maple body with a Medium C profile (Slim but not as slim as the ’60, not flat at the back) Mahogany neck. 12” radius Rosewood fingerboard with Dot inlays. The nut width is 42.5mm. The pickups are Tim Shaw with the usual 3 way toggle switch and 2 x Volume and 2 x Tone controls. The frets are in excellent condition and show minimal to no sign of wear. This guitar weighs 8.62Lb or 3.91Kg. The guitar has the original diamond strap buttons still fitted. In great overall condition throughout, no major dings or scratches. Just some light playing wear where any (Se images) and a small indentation by the lower horn. (See Image) and two small indentation marks on the neck behind fret 1 and fret 11. They can barely be felt and are not a problem when playing. No breaks, damage or repairs. Nickel grover tuners, stopbar, Tune O Matic bridge and pickup covers. The nickel hardware has tarnished and aged a bit naturally but it has not oxidised green. It does look great! Great player and typical Tim Shaw pickups sound. Comes with a later brown tolex hardshell case.
