1978 Takamine F340s MIJ D-18 Style Acoustic Dreadnought guitar. Fantastic and highly collectable Japanese Takamine dreadnought guitar from the Lawsuit era built in the Takamine factory in Sakashita.

This F340s is very much styled after the famous Martin D18, this S model features a solid spruce top instead of a laminate top like the standard F340.
 
Laminate double bound Mahogany back and sides dreadnought size body.
Very comfortable slim profile Mahogany neck with a Rosewood fingerboard, pearl dot inlays and a nut width of approx 43mm.
20 frets with a clear 14 frets to the body
Solid Spruce top with Multi stripe binding on the sound hole rosette and a black teardrop pickguard.
Rosewood bridge and Martin style squared off headstock with a very familiar script logo. This guitar weighs 4.5Lb or 2Kg
In good overall condition beside a few marks and small dings, (refer to images) the machine heads which have been changed at some stage and the bridge pins. This guitar has also an under saddle pickup fitted with the jack O/P on the rear strap button. Very nice player and very good sounding acoustic.
