1972 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop. Three piece sandwich Mahogany body, maple top. Three piece mahogany neck with Volute and a 14 degrees headstock angle. The nut width is 43mm. 12” radius Rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. The Guitar has had a re-fret and the frets are in excellent shape, with very minimal sign of wear. The machine heads are single line repro. A set of Schaller’s must have been on at some stage as there is the extra holes. The pickups are stock and untouched and the wiring is 50s style on a 3 way toggle switch. The tone pots date 51st week of 1972. For the volume pots, one we can see is a late 60s, all the other info is covered on both volumes unfortunately. The 2 wires that connect the jack output have been changed at some point in time. The guitar is fitted with original Sprague black beauties capacitors. Gold reflector knobs and cream plastics. Chrome bridge and tailpiece. Schaller strap locks fitted. In good overall condition, no repairs/breaks. Wear in the right places, a few dings and marks. Stunning looks and great sounding! The guitar weighs 4.57Kg or10Lb. Comes with a later Gibson case.
