1972 Fender Telecaster. Player grade 1972 Telecaster Blonde body finish with a maple neck. Set up with a low action, great sounding and fantastic player.

The neck profile is the typical D for this period and has had a light clear coat of lacquer. The guitar has had a pro-refret job and it comes with medium jumbo frets.

The frets are in excellent shape and show minimal sign of wear. The guitar has had several routes over time, one addition was for a Humbucker sized pickup in the middle position. It also has been routed for what looks like a battery compartment near the horn. (Please see images). There is some filler applied also behind the neck plate. The finish is otherwise original. The neck dates Nov 71 with a 72 serial number on the neck plate. The routes could be cleaned up or filled back in. The pickups look stock, the tone pot seem to date to 2003, the volume pot has solder all over the codes and it is hard to date. There is also a newer toggle switch and capacitor.

The pickguard has been changed to a WD repro guard. The jack socket has been upgraded to an electro socket. The guitar weighs 3.5Kg or 7.8Lb. The nut width is  42mm approximately. Comes with a later Fender Custom Shop black Tolex hardcase.
