Here is a nice original example of 1971 Stratocaster in three tone sunburst. The finish on the front has faded out to a more two tone looking colour. The body does show large area of playing ware that has rubbed through to the undercoat and wood. It is a four bolt neck plate. The Rosewood fingerboard is in good condition and has a pro refret. The playability is excellent. The neck date is very faded out and not easy to make out. The logo is the classic “with synchronised tremolo” like the Hendrix era ones, only a year or two later. The pick ups are correct Grey backs for the period. There has been one changed pot, the others date to 1970. The guitar has still got its original three way switch. The guitar weighs at 7.78 Lb or 3.53 Kg. The nut width is 40.6 mm. The guitar does come with a later Fender case. These guitars are becoming highly sought after as they are considered to be the best of the last good Strats.
