Here is a nice original example of 1971 Stratocaster is three tone sunburst.
The finish on the front has faded out to a more two tone looking colour.
The body does show large area of playing ware that has rubbed through to the undercoat and wood. It is a four bolt neck plate. Typical 70s Maple neck profile with a Rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard is in good condition as well as the frets as it had a pro re-fret not long ago as there is no wear or pitting. The playability is excellent and the guitar has a great feel with 10-46 Ernie Balls. The neck date is very faded out and not easy to make out. The logo is the classic “with synchronised tremolo” like the Hendrix era ones, only a year or two later. The pick ups are correct Grey backs for the period. There has been one changed pot, the others do date to 1970. The original three way switch is still fitted also. This guitar weighs 7.78 Lb or 3.53 Kg. The nut width is 40.6 mm. Comes with a later Fender case. These guitars are becoming highly sought after as they are considered to be the best of the last good four bolt neck Starts.
