1970-72 GIBSON ES335. This is a fine Gibson ES335 in Factory Black finish. 
It is hard to pinpoint the exact date as the serial numbers on this period are all over the place and stretch from 70 to72. We might be able get a date from the pots and revise this listing then. According to specs, it is before they started stamping the pickups which was in late 72. Bound Maple body with a a bound 70s profile neck with period Volute. It does Play very nicely having a 40mm nut width. The pickups are the tar covered back, just before they started using Bill Lawrence pickups and stamped Pat numbers. Usual 3 way toggle switch and 2 x Volume and 2 x Tone controls. ABR1 bridge and Tailpiece. Gibson deluxe double line tuners. 
The guitar weighs 7.9 pounds or 3.5 kgs. Looks superb in its Black finish, there is a patch of touch in on the back of the body approximately 35mm across which can be seen clearly in the pictures.
