Here is a really cool Gibson Les Paul Gold top with two P90 pick ups. This is in effect the forerunner of what would become the Les Paul Deluxe. It has a laminated sandwich Mahogany and Maple body and a three piece Mahogany neck. The neck has the slightly shallower 15 degree headstock pitch and no volute. Two P90’s and cream parts. Chrome factory hardware with a patent number ABR bridge and stop tailpiece. Nickel double ring Gibson Deluxe tuners, (top E is slightly bent but fully functional). The pick up readings are 7.7 on the neck and 7.6 on the bridge. The overall condition is very good with a small area of belt buckle ware on back about 2 to 3 inches by the toggle switch. The pots are very hard to read but we have deduced that they are from 1969. Nut width is 42.5 mm and it weighs 9.15 Lb or 4.150 Kg. Overall condition of the frets are still good with some pitting on the first two frets. Its has had a refret at some point. The guitar does come with an original Gibson yellow lined case.
