1966 FENDER PRECISION BASS - REFINISHED WHITE. This really nice playing, great sounding Precision has had a few changes from its original state way back in 1966, Has had a body refin to the off white/cream colour it is now and also an Ebony board was swapped from the original Rosewood at some point way back in the mists of time. Pots are newer as is some of the wiring, Neck date is Oct 66 and corresponding 66 serial number on neck plate. Hard to tell if the body has been routed anywhere at any point due to the refinish but there is a small hole in body and the pickguard which may have been a microswitch. Truss rod was changed when the new fret board was added. The headstock logo looks as if its reapplied, probably when the fret board was changed. C neck of 44mm, weight of 8.8 Ibs or 4.4 kg. Even with the changes to the bass its still a great players instrument, neck is super comfortable. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
