1965 FENDER ELECTRIC Xll - CANDY APPLE RED. A superb example of an Electric Xll in Candy Apple Red. Introduced in 1965 these models featured a Jazzmaster/Jaguar offset style body and features a long headstock nicknamed the "hockey-stick" headstock to cope with the twelve tuners. This example employs a unique split pickup design and a 4-way pickup rotary selector allowing for neck, neck & bridge in parallel, in or out of phase, and bridge only option. The string-through-body design helps to help increase sustain. The Fender Electric XII was a purpose-built 12-string designed to capture a part of the folk-rock market and plays like a well thought out instrument.

The Candy Apple Red finish shows a few chips and dings as can be seen from the pictures, one small 10p size area of lacquer touch in on the front of the body near the bridge. Weighs 8.6 pounds or 3.8 kgs and a nut width of 42mm.

Comes with non original hard case.
