Here is a 1963 Pre CBS Fender Telecaster. The guitar has been stripped back to wood and hadA nitro cellulose thin skin lacquer applied. Originally it was a factory Blonde finish .The guitar has a Rosewood neck with Clay dots and still has the original decal. The electrics are stock and the pot date we can see is 40th week of ’63.Neck date is June ’63 B and this coincides with neck plate date from that part of the year. The pickguard is a new Vintage relic by Charles guitars and is very close to an original green guard. The guitar is really resonant acoustically and has a lot of tonal variations plugged in.It weighs only 7.02 Lb or 3.180 Kg.The bridge and saddles are stock as are the single line Deluxe Kluson tuners.Playability is very good and the frets do still have some life in them. Long term it would benefit with a refretbut right now it plays well. The nut width is 42mm and is a B profile.Comes with a Hiscox moulded case.Rosewood neck Pre CBS Telecasters were made in much smaller numbers during this period compared to 50’sMaple necked ones. It is a great opportunity to get a very cool players grade Tele from this period.Get £500 off the website price by purchasing this direct with bank transfer instead of PayPal. eMail/Call for details.
