1960 Gibson L7C Sunburst with original hard shell case. Here we have an absolutely stunning example of a 1960 Gibson L7 Archtop guitar. This one of only 81 guitars made that year. In stunning conditions throughout, it is a beauty to look at and an amazing guitar to play. Maple back and sides, double bound body.
Spruce top. Medium C profile 2 piece Maple neck with a bound Rosewood fingerboard. 20 Medium jumbo frets, the guitar has had a re-fret at some point in time and the frets do look great and have minimal wear. Split parallelogram inlays, bone nut and bound headstock. The fingerboard does show some light pitting between fret 6 and 12. Chrome tailpiece and Rosewood floating bridge.Floating DeArmond pickup with the controls on the pickguard.The machine heads on it are a set of repro, the originals do come with it but the tulip tips have gone brittle which is typical for on these. You can have then re-tipped if you wish. There is a few marks here and there and some light play wear. This is very minimal especially considering the age. Incredible player and great sounding. Comes with the original black tolex, yellow lining hardshell case. The case has had a new handle fitted. This guitar weighs 5.95Lb or 2.7kg.
