1954 Gibson J185 Sunburst with hard shell case. Here we have a fantastic example of an early 50s J185 acoustic in great overall condition. Maple back and sides. Sitka spruce top. Mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and MOP split parallelogram inlays. The frets are in overall good shape. Rosewood bridge with cross inlays. Tortoiseshell pickguard. Later truss rod Bell cover. Great player and fantastic sounding acoustic. There is some general playing wear and marks. There is also a light split in the middle join on the top which has been cleated and professionally repaired. A new set of repro Kluson style tuners have been installed. The pickguard had a small middle split which has also been fixed. There has been a light clear at the back of the neck. No breaks!

The nut width is 40mm. The guitar weighs 4.4Lb or 1.995Kg. Fitted with a Fishman eclipse blend active pickup. Comes with Croc skin Lifton case.
