1953 Martin D-18. Mahogany back and sides, spruce top. Typical 50s V profile mahogany neck with a nice rosewood fingerboard. The guitar has had a re-fret at some stage and the frets are in good condition overall and show minimal to no sign of pitting and wear. The fingerboard does show some pitting. Rosewood bridge and bone saddle. Single line Kluson deluxe tuners. The guitar has been played and shows wear, some scratches and small dings. No breaks, splits or repairs. The guitar has a pickup system installed and the back strap pin hole has been enlarged to accommodate the jack output. The nut width is 42mm. The guitar weighs 3.92 LB or 1.775Kg. This guitar does play incredibly well, the action is on the low side and tonally is very nice. Simply, incredible sounding 50s D18. Please refer to the images for the overall condition, as mentioned there is a fair bit of playing wear, which ultimately it is a good sign as good guitars do tend to get played a lot. Comes with a later generic hardshell case.
