This is an incredible find. A 1930 Nick Lucas model in very good condition for 91 year old instrument. The sound is exceptional and the playability very good. There is a slight curvature on the top, but it does not affect the guitars playability. There are two minor split repairs on the side of the guitar which have been touched in. They were done professionally a long time ago to a very high standard. Photo’s included. There are several models of Nick Lucas guitars, this one is a Mahogany back and sides with a spruce top. The measurements are, 63 cm, 24.8 inch scale length. The nut width width is 44mm 13/4 inches and has Gibson style pearl inlays. The body width is 38cm or 15 inches and the body depth is 11.9cm or 4.69 inches. The guitar weighs in at 1.5 Kg or 3.3 lbs. The neck profile is typical for that era, it is a large neck. 12 frets to the body. There is some minor pitting on the first two frets of the fretboard. It has had a re-fret a while back and the frets are in excellent shape. The guitar has a period correct hard shell case also in good working order.
